The Proof of Address (POA) is a document that validates your address. Note that if you are a US resident, you won't need to provide a POA document in order to complete the verification process.
Please make sure that your document has your full name, current address and was issued within the last 6 months before the date of submission. You can submit an original photo of a paper document or a digital PDF version.
Some proof of address examples:
- Utility bill for gas, electricity, water, internet, etc. (no older than 6 months)
- Bank statement (no older than 6 months)
- Credit card statement issued by a bank (no older than 6 months)
- Tax bill (no older than 6 months)
- Home internet and TV bills (but not from satellite TV companies) (no older than 6 months)
- Landline and mobile telephone bill (no older than 6 months)
- Mortgage statement.
- Certificate of voter registration.
- Correspondence with a government authority regarding the receipt of benefits such as a pension, unemployment benefits, housing benefits, and so on
- A lease agreement that is current and has the signatures of the landlord and the tenant
- Rent bills issued by a real estate rental agency
- Letter from a recognized public authority or public servant
- Employer’s certificate for PoA
Alternative Proof of Residency Examples
The following documents can also be accepted as valid proof of address, but only if they contain an address:
- Passport
- Identity card
- Driving license
- Residence permit (EU samples containing address)
The same document cannot be used to confirm both an identity and a place of residence. So, if you submit an ID document as proof of address, you will need to provide a different document to confirm your identity.
