Both Android and Apple devices can use eSIMs, but you do need to confirm that your device is not locked by any specific carrier.
Android devices
To ensure your device is unlocked, please check your contract or contact your carrier to verify. Android does not have an option to check SIM restrictions in the Settings app.
Apple (iOS) devices
To ensure your device is unlocked, at Settings app go to General -> About > scroll down to Carrier Lock. If you see "No SIM restrictions", then your device is unlocked.
