In Bitrefill you can choose between two ways to pay for Uber rides - Uber Gift Cards and Uber Vouchers. The main differences being their usability and flexibility.
Uber Vouchers: An advantage of Uber Vouchers is their global usability - you can redeem them even when traveling in another country or dealing with a different currency. Once an Uber Voucher is added Uber will use it automatically when making a booking. However, unlike Uber Cash or Uber Gift Cards, you can't use vouchers to schedule rides in advance or use it to pay for tips.
How to redeem your Uber Voucher:
- Go to the Payment section in the Uber app
- Tap Add Voucher Code
- Enter Gift Code
Uber Gift Card: Uber Gift Cards are added to your account balance and can be used seamlessly to schedule rides. This is called Uber Cash.
How to redeem your Uber Gift Card:
- Go to the Payment section in the Uber app
- Tap Add Payment Method and select Gift Card
- Enter Gift Code
It's very flexible - you can use it to pay for any rides you schedule through the Uber app. Uber Cash is designed to work seamlessly, making it easy to pay for your rides, you can even pay tips with Uber Cash.
Please note that you may be required to add a secondary payment method to use Uber gift cards & vouchers within the Uber app. In some countries, you need to first set up an Uber Money account which requires a verification process in order to redeem a code.
